"Work from home" after the Covid have impacted the worker class people heavily. With most people working from their home towns, apartment complex in Bangalore are not fully occupied yet.
During 2020, Kushal's father lost job and mother had no major income as well. With poverty and family issues, the father moved out.
Kushal is son of a single mother who works as household maid in an apartment complex in Bangalore.
In 2020, Kushal could not continue his studies because bother his parents earnings came down.
This year, the school has accepted him to come to school, and given grace period till Dec-end to pay the fees. School has also waived off some part of the fees. (earlier it was around INR 39k)
With most people working from their home towns,, Kushal's mother also is not able to get her full income.
This one time support will help Kushal to continue his studies. By the coming year, hope most people will come back to work so that Kushal's mother can support herself and Kushal's studies.
The primary campaigner is Divya and she is based in Bangaluru. Kushal's mother has been a household maid in the apartment complex Divya lives.
Divya works for an MNC in Bangalore and helps out on social causes that happens around her.
In this case, Divya has managed to get a small accommodation for Kushal's mother and when she saw that Kushal is not going to school, she has contacted the principal and is seeking help to pay the fees by Dec-2021.
